A Right to Sing the Blues

Singer-songwriters Kristin Markiton and Matthew Kahler team up for a soulful show at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 21. Markiton is the former frontwoman of Delta Moon, a performer raised on Motown and folk who fell in love with country blues after classical training as a lyric coloratura. Kahler, a regular at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, is known for infectious melodies, and deeply personal, and sometimes comic, lyrics. Call our box office at 404-484-8636 to get on the reservation list. Zoetic Dance Ensemble goes modern for three nights near the end of the month with Zoetic Dance Exchange Choreographer’s Concert, presented in partnership with Synchronicity. Melanie Lynch-Blanchard’s award-winning company has danced for Atlanta audiences since 2002. The group is dedicated to conveying the human spirit through the athleticism and artistry of dance and to creating innovative, accessible work.
