In partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Tau Epsilon Omega Chapter, Synchronicity Theatre presents our next Toni Talk: Mothers and Daughters – Experiences of Us
This special Toni Talk will welcome mothers and daughters, and explore the heart of tolerance — empathy, understanding, and community — and how they can be used to confront issues like COVID-19, identity, race, social justice, and more. We invite you to join with your daughter, mother, or a friend. Synchronicity’s artists will join Dr. RJ Verwayne in an open conversation designed to help make the invisible, visible. This event will feature excerpts from Toni Morrison’s writings, a short talk and discussion, and breakout rooms with fun activities led by our teaching artists to bring mothers and daughters together.
Produced as part of a year-long exploration of themes from Toni Morrison’s work, culminating with Synchronicity’s live theatre production of THE BLUEST EYE in June 2021.
