Frog said, "I wrote 'Dear Toad, I am glad that you are my best friend. Your best friend, Frog.'"

Frog and Toad "hop from the page to the stage" when Synchronicity brings a delightful family favorite home for the holiday season. Winner of four lauded Suzi Bass Awards, including best musical and best director of a musical (Clint Thorton), Synchronicity's production of A Year with Frog and Toad brings Arnold Lobel's beloved characters to life in a whimsical and irresistible retelling for audiences of all ages. The Tony-nominated musical follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad – through four, fun-filled seasons. Part vaudeville, part make-believe – all charm – A Year with Frog and Toad tells the story of friendship that endures, weathering all seasons.

Brothers Robert and Willie Reale have many credits and contributions to working on television, film and theater. Robert is most known for his credits in composing scores for television and theater. His extensive credit list includes Good Morning America, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and the Original Broadway production of A Year with Frog and Toad. Willie is known for his work within the theater community from shows such as Johnny Baseball to creating the 52nd Street Project that brings together inner-city youth with professional theater artists. Willie wrote the book and lyrics for the Broadway production of A Year with Frog and Toad alongside Robert who composed the musical score. From their own successes, Robert is the owner of 4 Elements Music and 8118 Music. Both companies are music libraries for upcoming composers to have their works be used by consumers for independent projects. In 1994, Willie received a MacArthur Fellowship Award for his efforts in creating theater and theater education programs for the youth. Willie was previously nominated an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Patience” from the 2006 motion picture of the Broadway Musical, Dreamgirls. A Year with Frog and Toad has been a smash success. When the musical made its debut on Broadway in 2003, it was then nominated for three Tony Award categories for Best Musical, Best Book of A Musical for Willie Reale and Best Original Score for both brothers.
