MEET THE PLAYWRIGHT

Lucy Smith is an actor, writer, massage therapist and teacher. She holds an MFA from Columbia University in Acting and BA from Bard College with a double major in Film and Drama/Dance. She is a published poet and a collaborator with many devised theater companies (both in NYC and Portland, Oregon) such as the TEAM, the SITI Company, International WOW, Dodeska, the OtherSide theater and the anonymous ensemble. Favorite roles include Nell in Endgame directed by Sean Doran, Helena in Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Anne Bogart, Lucy in The Comfort and Safety Of Your Own Home directed by Josh Fox and Dorothy in Particularly in the Heartland by the TEAM. She returned home to Atlanta almost a decade ago. She teaches yoga and theater to children and is raising a magical being who is in kindergarten. This is her first play as a playwright.
