Souper Jenny and MetroFresh Present

Jennifer Levison and Mitchell Anderson in LOVE LETTERS

The play's two characters are a man and a woman who exchange letters, but not marriage vows, in a warm and complicated friendship lasting fifty years. Because they choose others as mates, and live to regret it, Love Letters has a wistful tone: beneath the sparkle expected from Gurney, sadness and remorse.

MEET THE ARTISTS

Mitchell Anderson met Jennifer Levison at her Atlanta restaurant, Souper Jenny, apprenticing in the kitchen from 2002-2005. He worked with her during the adoption process for her son, Jonah. Both chefs originally trained as actors. Jennifer is a graduate of the prestigious acting program at Carnegie Melon. Mitchell graduated from Williams College with a degree in theatre and then studied at Juilliard. With their shared love for theatre, and their love of food, a long friendship was born. Over the years, Jenny and Mitchell have performed together in many fundraiser cabarets. They starred opposite one another at Actor’s Express in Geoffery Nauffts moving play, NEXT FALL. And played the lead character’s in a staged musical reading of FALLSETTOS by William Finn.

ABOUT THE ZADIE PROJECT

The Zadie Project works to combat food insecurity for children,  families and seniors in Atlanta. We do this in 2 ways.

  1. Make nutritious and delicious soups from August through April and work with local organizations to distribute the quarts to individuals and families in need. We currently donate 1000 quarts a week. As of January, 2025, we have donated 180,000 quarts of soup.
  2. Educate the community on the possibilities of urban gardening and the importance of making healthy food choices all year long.
    • We partner with school programs, neighborhood community clubs, children's homes, senior citizen facilities, homeless food banks, and homeless youth outreach programs. These community partners create safe and enriching environments for children and seniors who struggle to access or afford enough nutritional food.
